Excerpt: From Moving Mountains. Author Pastor Larry Spates.

Excerpt: from my Book. Pastor Larry Spates, Moving Mountains: "Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God" Matthew 6:33 Purpose: that the believer will forever know that God’s true spiritual treasure is within them. A kingdom is the location where God has placed his power, glory and treasure. He has said in his word where we can find the treasure he “has hidden within us.” 2 Corinthians 4: 6-7 says, “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, human spirits to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us.” Some of us are not so sure where God is and how to make contact with him. God is a spirit and you are human spirit. So the human spirit must be connected to the heavenly spirit of God. Jesus says in John 15:5, “I am the vine, ye are the branches, he that abides in me and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit. For without me ye can do nothing.” When we realize that everything we need is in God’s kingdom within us, there will be more manifestations of God’s purpose for each of us, and we can be about our Lord’s business here in the earth. We have been given keys to the kingdom of God. In prayer, praise, worship, God’s word, silence and boldness in his presence God will release the treasure of his kingdom unto us. Prayer will permit us to speak to God about our problems, worries and concerns. It will let us pray for others by our petitions. Prayer takes us into the throne room of Almighty God. Praise lets us give reference for the glory of God, for his grace and mercy toward us for the fruit of his righteousness manifested in us by his power within us. In worship we give special reverence and homage to a superior being or power, one worthy of honor in the highest esteem. We bow before his divine perfections. We give adoration and thanksgiving in service to God alone. In God’s word we are to read, research, study and receive direction, instruction, understanding and spiritual guidance. Then we are to follow the teachings of God’s word. In Psalm 119: 97 – 100 one writer said, “O how I love thy law! It is my meditation all the day. Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies, for they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers, for testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the ancients because I keep thy precepts.” We are to be in silence and sit still without saying a word; quietness before the Lord when we pray, read, worship, fast and even praise. We must find time to sit quietly before the Lord; to just be in the present moment without talking, because it is always in the present moment where the power of God is. order your book today. http://www.amazon.com/Moving-Mountains-Pastor-Larry-Spates/dp/1484156064
